Lowcountry Snow Day!

Unless you live in the Lowcountry, it’s hard to really grasp how amazing it is to see snow here. Lowcountry snow is pretty much an oxymoron. Since moving to Bluffton from the Upstate, I have missed the yearly experience, which made me all that much more appreciative of it. After about 2 inches of accumulation, my husband, Jay, and I bundled up Eve, our 15 month old baby girl, stuffed her in her new Radio Flyer wagon her grandparents gave her for Christmas, and proceeded to introduce her to the snow. For about 3 minutes she had a look of confused curiosity which quickly turned into dislike and then utter hatred of the cold, icy snow. She is a true southern diva, that’s for sure! Lucky for her, it will likely be another 15 years before she has to endure the horror again. After a brief break to warm up by the fire, the three of us piled in Jay’s truck to see the glistening low country. It was breathtaking. These are just a few of the images from that day. Enjoy!
